Introducing the Ozone Pool Cleaning System

The QMAX Ozone Pool Cleaner is an effective methods of cleaning swimming pools of any size and have them clean and sparkling all the time in a safe and hygienic manner.

How does the cleaning system work?

When Ozone is injected and mixed into the pool recirculation water stream via the venturi. When it dissolves, the ozone reacts with the cell membranes of micro-organisms like bacteria and viruses converting them into carbon dioxide and water. Ozone also oxidises other organic contaminants of the pool water such as urine, sweat and saliva.

Role of Sodium Bromide (NaBr)

For complete dissolution of the gaseous ozone in water without complication the mechanism of the ozone generation, we add Sodium Bromide (NaBr) which is a natural component of sea water.
Ozone reacts with Sodium Bromide to form Hypobromous Acid (HOBr), which is a powerful bactericide. When this bactericide reacts with the organic molecules in the pool, the Hypobromous Acid converts back to Bromide. This Bromide reacts with Ozone to form Hypobromous Acid and the cycle continues
